When your price is before GST, the GST amount is calculated as:
GST Amount = Base Amount × (GST Rate ÷ 100)
Total Amount = Base Amount + GST Amount
Example: If base amount is ₹1,000 and GST is 18%, GST amount is ₹180 and total is ₹1,180.
When your price is after GST, the base amount is calculated as:
Base Amount = Total Amount ÷ (1 + GST Rate ÷ 100)
GST Amount = Total Amount − Base Amount
Example: If total price is ₹1,180 (including 18% GST), the base is ₹1,000 and GST amount is ₹180.
